All this and much more await you when you celebrate the Port Townsend Marine Science Center’s 25th Anniversary at the “Tides of March” Benefit Auction on March 1, 2008, at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in the Erickson Building. Once there, scrumptious food, fine wines and hearty brews will be served to you, beginning at 5 p.m. Silent auction bidding begins upon your arrival.
“We invite you to come and join us for an exciting and very fun evening,” said Nancy Fowler, Auction Chair. “Bidding promises to be spirited with so many fantastic items to choose from. And, of course, all proceeds go to support the PTMSC educational programs with our Fund-A-Need for local school scholarships. You won’t want to miss the great food, music, very creative décor and fabulous shopping!”

The Port Townsend Marine Science Center is devoted to understanding, preserving and teaching about our marine and shoreline environment as guardians for a sustainable future. Located on the beach at Fort Worden State Park, the PTMSC offers two public exhibits: the Marine Exhibit (ME) features large touch pools and aquaria, and the Natural History Exhibit (NHE) highlights the rich zone where land meets sea. The NHE is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. and the ME is open by appointment only. Admission to the NHE is $3 for adults, $2 for youth and free to PTMSC members.
