Exploring Marine Habitats
Grades 2-3

During a very low tide, students explore sandy, rocky and piling habitats around the Port Townsend Marine Center.

They observe and compare the animals and plants they find in different habitats and discuss possible reasons different organisms are found in different places. They share their ideas on how each organism is adapted to the particular habitat where it lives.

Class length: 60 minutes
Maximum Group Size: 26 students and 4 adults
Program Cost: $170 (before April 1st)
Peak Season Cost: $180 (April 1st through June 18th)
